Aug 30, 1907 – Aug 21, 1997 – Margaet E. Eyler, 89, died at 1:15 p.m. Thursday in her home. She had been a proofreader at RR Donnelley & Sons and later a nurse’s aid at Culver Hospital. Mrs. Eyler was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, REAC; Legion Auxiliary; Eagles Auxiliary and was a Lady Elk.  She was educated in Catlin, Ill and Crawfordsville schools. She was born Aug 330, 1907 at Fairmount, Ill to Thomas and Elizabeth Clancy Brennan. She married Clayton C. Eyler in November of 1927 at St. Bernards. He died May 24 1980. Survivors include five daughters: Margaret Jane McCafferty of Crawfordsville and Sister Rosemary Eyler, Sister of Providence of Rensselaer; Betty Rumkorff of Indianapolis; Donna Lee Clark of Crawfordsville and Carolyn Sue Henderson of Crawfordsville; a son, Thomas C. Eyler of Indianapolis; two sister, Lucille Brennan of Crawfordsville and Lois Keedy of Indianapolis; 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m.  Monday in St. Bernards with the rev. Melvin Bennett officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemeter. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospital St. Joseph at Haiti. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
